Managed growth of Genovese Drugstores from 12 superstores to 47 in three years.
Directed seamless acquisition of Steinway Ford Hopkins by LAG Wholesale, and instrumental in acquiring Management Systems Technologies (MST). Developed first third-party billing system in the Healthcare industry.
During my tenure, CTG software won a State Department Contract which enabled company to implement the program in Moscow. (Russia)
I was a member of the “Smart Region Committee” in the United States Congress, directly reporting to Representatives Curt Weldon, Rob Andrews, and Stenny Hoyer.
I have successfully trained personnel during periods of expansion of several diverse businesses to ensure excellent customer satisfaction, attention to detail and adherence to company polices. My strengths lie in creativity, problem solving, collaboration, and strong work ethic.
Personal: I am former President of the Rotary Club, and Shore Regional High School School Board, Long Branch, NJ; former President of HOA, Bethany Bay, OV Delaware, President of the Parish Council, St. Ann’s RC Church, and active member of the Notre Dame Alumni Club of Delaware, and the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. McElroy is a former employee (Director of Finance) to Global-IP USA, Inc., a subsidiary of Global-IP Cayman, a start-up satellite services company. In July 2015, he retired as the Senior Vice President & Corporate Controller of EchoStar Corporation, a publicly traded company, where he was responsible for the accounting and reporting of financial results for EchoStar and its consolidated global operations since taking on the role in February 2012. Prior to his work with EchoStar, Mr. McElroy was the Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer for Hughes Communications and its primary operating subsidiary, Hughes Network Systems, LLC., a role he held from 2006 until Hughes Communications, Inc. was acquired by EchoStar Corporation in 2011. Mr. McElroy joined Hughes in 1987 and served in various roles and responsibilities with Hughes Network Systems. Prior to joining Hughes, he was employed as a Senior Manager with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where he began his professional career in 1977 with the Audit Group in the Washington, DC office.
Mr. McElroy joined the Holy Cross Health Foundation Board of Directors in 2015. In January 2017 he became Chairman for the Foundation Board of Directors and served in this role until the expiration of his term in December 2019. In 2017 he was appointed to the Holy Cross Health Board of Directors for a three-year term where he served as Treasurer in 2018 and 2019. Effective January 2020 he was elected to the role of Chairman for the Holy Cross Health Board and served in that role until January 2023.
He is also an Emeritus member of the Board of Directors for the Montgomery County Police Foundation and he is Chairman Emeritus for the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he is an Emeritus Member for the Advisory Board to the Shields School of Business for Saint Francis University. Mr. McElroy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Saint Francis University, Loretto, Pennsylvania.
Mr. McElroy is actively involved with the Knights of Columbus and a supporter of the Beebe Health Foundation. He and his wife reside in Bethany Beach, De.
